Why Women in Tech?
Did you know that 50% of women quit the tech industry before the age of 35? This startling statistic is attributed to a lack of inclusivity for women in the industry. This is even more prevalent for women of colour and LBT women.
While 68% leaders perceive their company creates “empowering environments where people have a sense of belonging”, only 36% of employees agree. As the majority of leadership positions are still held by men (particularly at c-level), their actions and influence are needed.
After all, inclusivity doesn’t just benefit women, and improving diversity in the tech industry isn’t just a women’s issue, it’s a business issue.
Our speakers are some of the most inspirational women in our network. They’ve succeeded in the industry and carved a path for more to follow in their footsteps.
