Lead Software Engineer – FinTech Startup

An exciting FinTech Start-up who are changing the way we approach transactions and payments across the globe. They are now looking for a highly skilled Lead Software Engineer to join the backend team of engineers responsible for developing, improving and enhancing their platform based on a highly scalable and secure microservices event-driven architecture.

As Lead Software Engineer you will be contributing to the architecture and implementation the new features and future vision of the platform with a high level of autonomy. Experience with either Python or Golang is perfect for this role, and most importantly having the ability to lead from the front and collaborate with the team. You should be an advocate of TDD, pair programming and with the ability to encourage engineering best practises such as taking ownership of your own infrastructure and deployment. As Senior Software Engineer you will work directly with the Head of Engineering, leading the team by example and demonstrating a can-do attitude.

As Lead Software Engineer you must be skilled with:

• Either Golang or Python
• AWS
• Kubernetes
• Kafka or other Event-driven Architecture (desirable)
• TDD
• Microservices
