One of the UK’s most highly thought of technical institutions is on the lookout for an Application Architect to play a key role in overseeing and delivering one of the client’s microservice platforms that is the engine room for several of their high-traffic customer-facing products.

As an Application Architect, you will be passionate about best practices and ensuring that architectural vision is upheld in an environment that facilitates learning. To stakeholders ranging from Software Engineers to Product owners, you will create and then demonstrate complex designs and architectural diagrams.

On top of this, you will be given the opportunity to explore and delegate the use of new tools and technologies that can further increase the performance of this highly respected team.

As an Application Architect you will have the following:

• Hands-on technical experience with microservices and API’s (ideally with Node.JS)
• Product architect experience with the ability to convey decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Researching evolving technologies and evaluating their use
• Coaching and mentoring experience for Senior, Mid-Level, and Junior colleagues

Technologies include:

• NodeJS, MongoDB, Kubernetes, Docker, AWS
• Experience in Scala .Net and Python is beneficial
