Technical Product Owner – Contract

A global media organisation, based in London, is looking to hire a Contract Technical Product Owner on a long-term contract basis. As one of the industry leaders in the media industry, they have become dominant in their market through product evolution and the scalability of the existing technology and infrastructure. They’re seeking a Technical Product Owner to join a high-profile team that is building a new business-critical system that is pivotal to the companies UK and global expansion.

As Contract Technical Product Owner you will work closely with at least one scrum team, typically constructed of 6-8 Software Engineers, Product Owner and SDET while also playing a key role with the wider programme facing off to business stakeholders. You will play a leading role in the requirements definition, design, documentation and continual evolvement of the platform that is being built. As a Technical Product Owner will form part of a team of Analysts that together, ensure there is consistency and knowledge sharing of processes and functionality across multiple work streams in the department. It is essential that you have experience in the design of a scalable performant architecture.

As Contract Technical Product Owner you will have the following:

• Proven experience defining, writing and documenting requirements in an agile scrum environment
• Understand API design and architecture dependencies
• Translating requirements into well groomed user stories for the engineers to pick up
• Fully understand the software development life cycle through to delivery
• Experience working with both business and tech stakeholders to understand and translate requirements
• Have experience working in varied agile set-ups that allows you to adapt you’re approach to the challenges within the project
• Be confident in estimating and prioritising tasks
• Take ownership of delivery milestones within your workstream

As Contract Technical Product Owner you will join a high-profile workstream in a leading global media business. You will play a pivotal role in the design, definition, translation and delivery of this new critical system over the next 6 – 24 months
