Head of Data
London, Hybrid

Up to £160,000 + bonus + benefits

A growing tech organisation is seeking a Head of Data to lead the design of its core data architecture and knowledge systems. You’ll shape how information is structured, connected, and used across the platform, enabling analytics, automation, and intelligent tools.

Responsibilities as a Head of Data: 
  • Define the organisation’s core data models, structures, and standards.
  • Build scalable semantic frameworks supporting analytics and automation.
  • Architect systems that enable recommendations, lineage, and auditability.
  • Work closely with engineering, product, and domain teams to ensure alignment.
  • Establish a unified, extensible data platform for internal and customer use.
Key Requirements:
  • 7+ years in data modelling, semantic architecture, or knowledge engineering.
  • Experience designing scalable information systems across varied data types.
  • Strong collaboration across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Hands-on familiarity with knowledge graphs, semantic schemas, or structured APIs.
  • Technical fluency in Python or graph/data frameworks is a plus.
Nice to Have:
  • Experience in complex or regulated environments.
  • Work on data discovery, lineage, or metadata systems.
  • Interest in AI-supported data interfaces.
