Data Engineer | Python | Energy Industry 

We are partnered with an energy industry organisation working on a key project to modernise the UK energy market. They are seeking a Data Engineer to join the team and contribute to a cutting-edge platform for analytics and machine learning. They are looking for a skilled data engineer with experience in Databricks, Spark, and Python, who can deliver high-impact data products. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside an exciting, collaborative team with a clear roadmap for growth and the chance to collaborate across the wider technology teams.

What you’ll be doing:

• Design and Optimise pipelines in Python
• Collaborate with analysts and scientists
• Deliver high impact products
• Power advanced analytics and machine learning across the UK energy market

What we’re looking for:

• Experience with Azure cloud data lakes and services (Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks).
• Skilled in ETL/ELT pipeline development and big data tools (Spark, Hadoop, Kafka).
• Strong Python/PySpark programming and advanced SQL with query optimisation.
• Experience with relational, NoSQL, and graph databases.
• Familiar with CI/CD, version control, and infrastructure as code (Terraform).
• Strong analytical skills with large structured and unstructured datasets.
