Product Designer
Salary: Up to £50,000 + benefits
Location: Hybrid/Leeds (1-2 days per week in the office)
I’m working with a fast-growing start-up who are accelerating the resale and recommerce industry. The company offer an end-to-end solution that combines the ease of modern tech with expert valuation and customer-first service. They are looking for a Product Designer to come in and own the product vision, strategy and roadmap across all their digital products.
As the Product Designer you will play a key role in shaping and evolving the customer journey across all their brands. Acting as the sole Product Designer you will collaborate closely with the Product Managers, Engineers and stakeholders to design end to end solutions that align with business goals. With their expected growth into multiple regions this year, they are looking for an experienced Product Designer that will work across research, UX and UI delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Take full ownership of the user experience for customer-facing products, guiding them from initial discovery through to execution.
- Turn research insights, business objectives, and technical considerations into intuitive, user-focused design solutions.
- Create both low-fidelity and high-fidelity prototypes to explore concepts and validate design decisions.
- Lead user research efforts including testing, interviews, and surveys to uncover insights and drive iterative improvements.
- Partner closely with developers to ensure seamless implementation, maintaining design quality through QA and into launch.
- Manage and evolve the design system to ensure a cohesive, scalable, and consistent UI/UX across products.
- Clearly communicate your design thinking and decisions to cross-functional teams and stakeholders, aligning on goals and expected outcomes.
- Actively contribute within agile teams, participating in sprint ceremonies and helping refine the product backlog.
Requirements:
- 3+ years working in Product, UX/UI Design with a strong supporting portfolio.
- Experience designing for web, mobile, and responsive environments.
- Skilled in tools like Figma, Adobe XD, or equivalent.
- Proficient in research methods: interviews, testing, surveys, etc.
- Able to simplify complex problems into clear, usable designs.
- Familiar with A/B testing, experimentation, and data-informed decisions.
- Understanding of HTML/CSS and handoff best practices (coding a plus).
- Comfortable working in agile, start-up, or scale-up environments.
- Excellent communication, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills.
