Data Analyst – Marketplace and E-commerce platform

Technology: Python, SQL, Spark and AWS
Salary: Up to £75,000 plus equity and benefits
Location: Hybrid, London (3 days per week onsite)

I am partnered with a rapidly growing marketplace and e-commerce start-up that is revolutionising how consumers shop, invest and operate online. Your role will involve delivering data-driven insights to enhance marketing strategies and compiling comprehensive market reports. You will use both internal and external data services to produce management reports that guide pricing, valuation, and stock management decisions for finance and operations.

They are seeking a talented and motivated Data Engineer with strong stakeholder management skills to join their growing engineering team. As a key member of their data and analytics department, you will play a crucial role in unlocking insights from their diverse datasets to drive strategic decisions and optimise performance. Your work will directly influence product development, marketing strategies, customer experience, and overall business growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyse datasets and build predictive models.
  • Turn data insights into growth strategies with cross-functional teams.
  • Engaging with key internal stakeholders to understand business requirements.
  • Develop ETL pipelines based off of business requirements.
  • Identify and address data quality issues.
  • Automate data processing tasks to enhance efficiency.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and recommend improvements.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and integrate new techniques.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in developing, designing and maintaining ETL processes.
  • Experience working with Large data sets and numerous data sources.
  • Proficient in Python, SQL, and data visualisation tools.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication abilities.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS or similar.
  • Ability to translate complex data into simple business recommendations.
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
