Software Engineer

Our client is a VC-funded Green Fintech who believe that capital is the key to accelerating the energy transition. By 2050, €150 Trillion(!!) needs to be invested globally to achieve global neutrality. They are developing digital financing solutions for these investments in green infrastructure ad hardware.

Their is to channel capital into the sustainable economy to accelerate the transformation and make the world greener. Our goal: to finance one trillion euros in green hardware.

Tasks

• Development and Technical Leadership: Contribute to the architecture and development of their platform to ensure robust, scalable and maintainable code on both the front and backend systems.
• Platform Development and Operations: Build and maintain the underlying platform infrastructure to support scalability and reliability. Implementing and managing monitoring tools for observability, logging and tracing to ensure high availability and performance of the systems.
• Quality Assurance: Implementing and maintaining high quality standards through the use of test frameworks like Playwright to ensure the reliability and performance of the platform.
• Innovation and Adaption: Continuous research and implementation of new technologies that can enhance the functionality and efficiency of the platform.
• Team Collaboration: Initially leading a team of external engineers and transitioning gradually to an internal team, you will be responsible for fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaboration.

Requirements

• Proven experience in developing with Python and TypeScript (Knowledge of React is a huge plus)
• Strong knowledge of developing and managing technical solutions for financial services – highly advantageous if in the realm of GreenTech or related industries.
• Experience with AWS, as well as familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerisation and modern DevOps practices.
• B2 German advantageous.
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical team members.
• Leadership experience, ideally in a start up environment.
