Salary: £80,000 – £100,000 plus bonus and benefits
Location – London/Hybrid (3 days per week)

A rapidly expanding climate tech start-up who are on a mission to combat climate change through cutting-edge technology are looking for a highly skilled Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join a scaling engineering function focussed on improving the global climate.

As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, you will pioneer the development and deployment of advanced machine learning models that power their customer-facing systems and will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to create scalable solutions that enhance user experience and deliver actionable insights.

As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, you will:

  • Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models for customer-facing applications.
  • Work with large datasets to derive actionable insights and improve predictive accuracy.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, and product managers to integrate ML models into our systems.
  • Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of machine learning projects from data collection and pre-processing to model training, evaluation, and deployment.
  • Optimise and fine-tune algorithms for performance and scalability.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in machine learning and climate tech to continuously improve our solutions.
  • Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in machine learning engineering or related roles.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and ML libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Proven track record of building and deploying machine learning models in production environments.
  • Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and statistical methods.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
