As a Data Governance Lead, you will work closely with senior leadership, stakeholders, and various business divisions to establish and maintain data governance policies, standards, and procedures. You will oversee initiatives aimed at improving data quality and consistency, addressing data-related issues, and ensuring that data is used effectively to support business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive data governance framework, including policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Oversee data governance initiatives to ensure data quality, consistency, and security across all business units.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish data stewardship and data management best practices.
  • Lead the identification and resolution of data quality issues, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
  • Manage data governance tools and technologies to support data governance activities.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and internal policies.
  • Provide training and support to data stewards and other stakeholders to promote data governance awareness and adherence.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in data governance, data management, or a related discipline, preferably within a large, complex organisation.
  • Strong understanding of data governance frameworks, data quality management, and data protection regulations.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience with data governance tools and technologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
