Salary: £100,000 – £150,000 plus equity

As a Backend Engineer, you will utilise your experience to architect and scale web applications and play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining brand new software solutions that drive their platform’s growth. You will collaborate closely with other members of the engineering team and senior stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable, efficient, and secure software solutions using the Python stack.

Role and responsibilities:

• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient Python code to implement algorithms and models.
• Optimise performance and scalability of AI applications through code optimisation and parallelisation techniques.
• Develop and maintain scalable web applications using Django framework.
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure the reliability and accuracy of AI systems.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in Python, AI, and related technologies, and integrate them into our projects when appropriate.
• Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior team members.
• Work closely with product managers and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Bring experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and familiarity with various data storage solutions (SQL, NoSQL, etc.).
