As a Database Administrator, your responsibilities will include:

• Support the global infrastructure with a focus on the database administration and SQL server management.
• Be an escalation point for 1st and 2nd line teams where requests need DBA input.
• Protect systems and data by undertaking proactive measures such as SQL patching.
• Undertake project/delivery work alongside Business-as-Usual tasks as directed by the Infrastructure Operations Team Leader.

Skills, experience and qualifications:

• In depth knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and Azure SQL.
• Experience scripting SQL backups and restores.
• Experience with SQL Server high availability solutions.
• Experience managing Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services.
• Experience working within the ITL framework, processes, procedures and methodology.
• Experience and understanding of Windows clustering technologies and techniques.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services including O365.
• Powershell or other scripting knowledge.
