Senior Software Engineer

Permanent Employee, Full time. Remote in Germany.

Your tasks: 
• Taking over the software engineering of the backend services of our platform based on a modern tech stack.
• Responsible for implementation within the software life cycle from architectural decisions to delivery of the finished software and operation
• Analyzing and optimizing our existing code base
• Carrying out code reviews and tests with your team members and assigned sparring partners, e.g. in pair programming
• Ensuring the quality of your work through sufficient documentation and meaningful tests
• Close collaboration and regular exchange with the areas of customer experience, backend, IoT, embedded and product management
• Sharing knowledge or in one of the communities of practice with the aim of learning together and from each other.

We are happy about:
• Completed degree in computer science or a comparable technical qualification
• Several years of professional experience as a backend developer with the Java ecosystem
• Deep knowledge of modern development methods and tools such as microservices, APIs, Spring Boot, Kafka, build pipelines and containerization
• Experience in dealing with the challenges of software engineering from conception to operation
• Knowledge of agile software development and test driven development
• Interested in continuous delivery and DevOps topics
• Fluent English and B1 level German (minimum) 
• A high level of personal responsibility and interest in teamwork
