Responsibilities:
– Design, develop, and implement robust security measures to protect the company’s applications and systems.
– Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability testing, and code reviews to identify potential risks and weaknesses.
– Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
– Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices.
– Drive the adoption of security standards and frameworks such as ISO27001.
– Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the engineering team on security-related matters.
– Act as a subject matter expert, advising stakeholders on application security best practices and risk mitigation strategies.

Requirements:
– Extensive experience as an Application Security Engineer, preferably within a fast-paced technology-driven environment.
– Strong proficiency in full-stack JavaScript development (React and Node).
– Solid knowledge of cloud platforms, particularly AWS, and experience in implementing security measures in cloud environments.
– Familiarity with security standards and frameworks such as ISO27001.
– Hands-on experience with security assessment tools, vulnerability scanners, and penetration testing.
– Proven ability to conduct code reviews and identify security vulnerabilities.
– Excellent understanding of secure coding practices and software development methodologies.
– Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team.
– Effective communication skills to liaise with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
