We’re working with a fast-growing, data-driven performance marketing business operating in regulated, high-growth sectors. Its data platform powers everything it does, from real-time campaign optimisation to the insight its commercial teams run on, and it’s investing to scale that platform as the business grows.

The Head of Data Engineering joining now will lead the team behind the platform, own the technical strategy and delivery roadmap, and work closely with commercial and executive leaders on the priorities that move the business.

Responsibilities as a Head of Data Engineering:

• Build, lead and develop a high-performing data engineering team
• Set and own the technical strategy so the data infrastructure scales with the business
• Lead the delivery roadmap, meeting business objectives and making well-reasoned trade-offs
• Partner with product, marketing, commercial and executive leadership to shape data priorities
• Set the technical bar and drive adoption of AI-led development, staying close to the code where it counts

Requirements:

• Proven experience leading and developing data engineering teams
• A track record of delivering data platforms that drove real customer and business results
• Hands-on technical credibility and enjoyment of getting into the detail
• The ability to explain technical complexity clearly to stakeholders at every level
• Strong commercial acumen around revenue, growth and competitive advantage
